TPG launches Arcura Medical Properties following completion of acquisition of premier German and Dutch medical outpatient portfolio
Purpose-built medical outpatient properties platform suited for long-term growth through backing by an experienced real estate investor. Simon Betty appointed CEO of Arcura.
London / Berlin / San Francisco — 1 July 2026. TPG Real Estate (“TPG”) today announced the launch of Arcura Medical Properties (“Arcura”), a new, purpose-built European healthcare real estate platform designed to deliver high-quality clinical infrastructure and pursue growth opportunities driven by surging demand for medical properties. The formation of Arcura follows the completion of TPG’s approximately €400 million acquisition of a portfolio of leading medical outpatient properties located across Germany and the Netherlands (the “Portfolio”) from Vital Infrastructure Property Trust (formerly Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT).
Arcura will operate as an independent, specialised owner and operator of medical outpatient buildings (“MOBs”) and outpatient clinical infrastructure. Today, the platform consists of 30 properties across more than 180,000 square metres, serving more than 400 healthcare tenants in key regions including Berlin, Hamburg and The Randstad. Arcura will manage the existing Portfolio, focusing on delivering premier tenant experiences through standards-led management and targeted capital investment, while also pursuing disciplined growth opportunities in core European markets.
Simon Betty, who led Vital Infrastructure Property Trust’s Europe organisation, will serve as Arcura’s CEO. Betty has more than two decades of real estate investment and leadership expertise across several global markets, and will oversee an established, local executive team leading all asset management, leasing and growth initiatives. Richard Mully, a tenured real estate investor and operator with more than three decades of experience, will serve as Chairman.
“Arcura is purpose-built to meet growing demand for high-quality medical real estate, serving as a partner of choice to tenants and as a long-term steward of premier medical outpatient properties in attractive and growing markets. Our focus is on delivering bespoke, high-performing environments for medical practitioners, and infrastructure that supports specialist practices, diagnostics, and clinical services across the full acuity spectrum of care. We are incredibly constructive on the outlook for the outpatient medical sector and are delighted to partner with TPG.”
“As healthcare delivery across Europe increasingly shifts toward outpatient and ambulatory settings, demand for well-located, professionally managed medical infrastructure continues to grow. This opportunity aligns TPG’s focus on partnering with great management teams to build and enhance platforms that provide differentiated value to the tenants they serve. We are pleased to partner with Simon and Arcura’s experienced team to scale the platform and bring institutional capabilities to a real estate sector benefiting from significant growth, and as we look ahead, see a clear pathway to building the leading pan-European medical outpatient platform through targeted acquisitions in attractive markets.”
